Zenatha Coleman Nominated for CAF Women's Player of the Year Award

Namibian football sensation Zenatha Coleman has been nominated among the elite 30 players contending for the prestigious CAF Women's Player of the Year award. The 30-year-old winger, known for her prowess on the field, currently plies her trade with Fenerbahçe S.K. in the Turkish Women's First Football League, where she also holds the captaincy of the Namibia women's national team.

Coleman's impactful presence since joining Fenerbahçe S.K. has been undeniable, featuring prominently in over 26 matches and displaying her scoring prowess with an impressive tally of more than 16 goals.

The nominees' list for the CAF Women's Player of the Year award is prominently dominated by players from Nigeria and South Africa. Among the 30 nominees, seven players hail from Nigeria, while six represent South Africa.

The much-anticipated Awards Gala, set to be a gathering of the continent's football elite, is scheduled to take place on 11th December 2023 in Marrakech, Morocco. This grand event promises to honor and celebrate the exceptional talent and contributions of African female footballers, with Coleman represent  Namibian flag.
