In a remarkable achievement, Namibian sprinter Christine Mboma has been honoured with the Junior Sports Woman of the Year Award at the 5th edition of the Regional Annual Sports Awards (RASA), beating Judi Phiri of Zambia, and Hayley Hoy from Eswatini. 

The prestigious event took place in Matsapha, Eswatini, bringing together athletes and sports enthusiasts from the region. 

Despite her absence, the director of sports, Jo Ann Manuel, accepted the award on behalf of Mboma, who was unable to attend. This recognition adds to Mboma's growing list of accomplishments, highlighting her exceptional talent and dedication to the sport.
