Mason Greenwood's international future has become a topic of debate in recent weeks, following his loan move to Getafe FC from Manchester United. The young forward, known for his prowess in front of goal, has made headlines as he embarks on a new chapter in his career.

Since joining Getafe FC, Greenwood has made four appearances, managing to provide one assist but is yet to find the back of the net for his new club. However, his potential was showcased when he made a start for Getafe during a thrilling 2-2 draw against Athletic Bilbao, where he played the full 90 minutes.

Greenwood has previously represented England in one competitive fixture. However, FIFA rules allow players to switch nationalities if certain conditions are met, and there have been reports that Greenwood is considering playing for Jamaica after his saga which limit his chance to play for England.

Jamaica's head coach, Heimir Hallgrímsson, expressed his interest in having Greenwood join the Jamaican national team, stating:

"I am no different from any coach in the world; we would like to have the best talents in our team. If he returns to his former form and level, he is sure that he would have the level to help Jamaica."
