Willy Stefanus, the prolific footballer with a remarkable record, has shed light on his relationship with Namibian National football coach, Collin Benjamin. Amidst discussions regarding the inclusion of African Stars FC' skipper in the national team, Stefanus asserted that there are no personal issues between him and the coach.

Stefanus, who has showcased impressive form over the past two seasons, participated in 38 matches, netting a total of 31 goals. Despite his outstanding performance, there has been no vocal push from the Namibian camp to have Benjamin consider including African Stars FC's captain in the national team.

In an interview with Fresh FM Radio, Stefanus addressed his rapport with Coach Collin Benjamin, stating:

"I have had numerous encounters with Coach Collin. Between us, there are no personal issues; our discussions revolve around football, my career progression, injury status, among other topics. However, the matter of the national team's inclusion never arose. As a player, I didn't feel it was my place to initiate this discussion; I simply followed the flow." He said.

Meanwhile, the Brave Warriors faced a setback in their World Cup 2026 qualifying campaign, suffering a defeat in their opener against Equatorial Guinea. However, they swiftly rebounded, clinching victory in their subsequent match against Sao Tomè, they are now sitting on the third position in the group H.
