Lionel Messi Set to Miss Crucial Matches for Inter Miami FC

Inter Miami FC faces a daunting challenge ahead as their captain, Lionel Messi, is set to miss a significant portion of the upcoming Major League Soccer (MLS) season. The Argentine talisman's absence, owing to national team commitments, coinciding with FIFA international breaks and the Copa America 2024, will sideline him for at least seven crucial matches for MLS league matches.

Inter Miami FC's first match for MLS league  scheduled for February 21 against Real Salt Lake.

The MLS season, comprising 34 games, will see Messi absent during pivotal fixtures against DC United, NY Red Bulls, Philadelphia Union, Columbus Crew, Nashville, Charlotte, and FC Cincinnati. The absence of the Lionel Messi raises concerns about the team's performance during these matchups.

Last season, the team struggled without their star player, finishing 14th in the league and failing to secure a playoff berth. Although Messi's arrival initially bolstered the team's performance, their inability to maintain momentum in crucial games with the Argentine in the lineup was evident.

In a bid to fortify their squad, Inter Miami FC has made a strategic move by signing Messi's former teammate, Luis Suarez. The Uruguayan forward has carved a reputation as one of the most prolific goal scorers in various leagues, bringing a wealth of experience and goal-scoring prowess to the team.
