African Stars Soccer Club has parted ways with their head coach, Marvin Mbakera, following a string of disappointing performances in the Debmarine Namibia Premiership. Mbakera, who previously led the team to league victory, has been replaced by Ronnie Kanalelo, former head coach of Unam FC.

Mbakera took the reins from George Koffie, who was dismissed last November, and initially led African Stars to the top of the league table. However, a decline in form during the second leg of the season saw the team drop crucial points, ultimately leading to Mbakera's departure.

The decision to relieve Mbakera of his duties came after a series of defeats, including losses to Young Brazilians FC, PstBet Khomas Nampol Football Club, and UNAM FC.

These defeats, coupled with a loss of their top spot in the league standings, prompted the club to make a change at the helm.

Ronnie Kanalelo has been appointed as Mbakera's successor, though details surrounding his departure from Unam FC remain unclear.
