Serie A club, Lecce will pay Barcelona €500,000 as part of their loan agreement for Samuel Umtiti.
The loan deal was finalized at the beginning of the 2022/23 season, as Barcelona sought to offload the injury-prone French defender.
Although there is no purchase clause, Barcelona included a set of performance-related variables in the agreement to generate income from the move, and the latest one has been triggered this week.

According to reports from Diario AS, Umtiti has started 15 league games in Italy, which has resulted in Lecce making the payment to Barcelona for the 29-year-old.
Barcelona is looking to permanently sell Umtiti in the near future and is open to accepting a free transfer, despite his contract at the Camp Nou running until 2026, if they can convince Lecce to make an offer for him
